श्रीभगवानुवाच
भूय एव महाबाहो श्रृणु मे परमं वचः ।
यत्तेऽहं प्रीयमाणाय वक्ष्यामि हितकाम्यया ॥

Transliteration

śrī bhagavān uvāca
bhūya eva mahā-bāho śṛṇu me paramaṃ vacaḥ |
yatte’haṃ prīyamāṇāya vakṣyāmi hita-kāmyayā || 1 ||

Translation

The Resplendent Lord said:
O Arjuna, listen carefully to this Supreme declaration of Mine. These words desiring your welfare, I will speak to you which will delight you..

Purport

Pleased with the dedication of Arjuna, Bhagvan Shri Krishna further agreed to declare more secret knowledge. Next Shloka onward up to Sh#8 Shri Krishna will explain the secret about the origin of universe.
