There yonder, the hosts of devatas enter You and others frightened extol You with folded hands, entreat You, while the bands of great seers and perfected souls adore You with innumerable hymns saying 'Hail, Hail'.

Purport

Starting from this Shloka till Shoka#30 Arjuna witnesses a completely different aspect of Bhagwan Shri Krishna. As destroyers. Arjuna sees the Universal form of Bhavan Shri Krishna consuming everything. The material world and all living being completely their life cycles are merging into him. In other Shloka it has been described, how whole universe is originating from him. He originates the entire universe and then the entire universe finally merges into him, this has been explained at other places. The universe and all living beings start, remain and finally merge into Bhagwan Shri Krishna.

What Arjuna sees in the Universal form the complete cycle of the time, the creation, the existence and then the destruction is unfolding in front of his eyes.

The Shloka describes, Arjuna sees devatas(deities), sages and other living being entering into or being consumed by the Universal form of Shri Krishna. For a moment it might look a bit artificial to somebody, but if we expand our thought we can realize that’s what actually happened. This entire universe is part of Bhagwan Shri Krishna. We see everything is originating from this nature and finally dissolves into it in one way or other. But this happens as discrete phenomena happening as a small isolated manner and we have known them as an isolated incident, We can't see the whole universal picture. We know somebody born, he is born out of parents. Our curiosity ends there. But when inquired more, one may realize parents and all living is actually situated in nature, produced from elements in nature and finally merge with the same nature. But then taking nature as the endpoint is still not final to have a complete view. the view is completed when we know this entire nature and universe is but the product and situated in Bhagwan Shri Krishna.

What Arjuna sees here is the universal view with phenomena happening in fast forward giving the complete view.

Another interesting to note Shloka describes different way different entity entering into the Universal form, Devatas and sage at one end are entering into the Universal form with peace, but some other entities are frightened. That shows another reality of how different people react to the prospect of death. Sages and noble souls who know the truth of life and death are peaceful, but others are really afraid.
