मा ते व्यथा मा च विमूढभावोदृष्ट्वा रूपं घोरमीदृङ्म मेदम्।
व्याप्तेभिः प्रीतमनाः पुनस्त्वंतदेव मे रूपमिदं प्रपश्य ॥
Transliteration
mā te vyathā mā ca vimūḍha bhāvo dṛṣṭvā rūpaṃ ghoram īdṛṅ-mamedam |
vyapetabhīḥ prīta-manāḥ punas tvaṃ tad eva me rūpam idaṃ prapaśya || 49 ||
Translation
You need not fear any more, nor be perplexed by looking on this awesome manifestation of Mine. Free from fear and with a gladdened heart, behold again that other form of Mine.
Purport
Seeing the Universal form of Bhagvan Shri Krishna Arjuna got perplexed. Even more, he got scared unto his heart seeing Shri Krishna’s manifestation as Kala(The time or death). Millions of living beings were meeting their deaths into Shri Krishna’s form. Arjuna scared to the core of heart then requests to please change this form and show the beautiful four-armed form(11.45-46).
Now Shri Krishna is comforting Arjuna by saying not to be fearful and hold this Universal form of Shri Krishna with devotion. In the previous two Shlokas Bhagavan Shri Krsihna also revealed that this universal form has not been displayed to anybody before. Arjuna is the luckiest living being in all lokas to witness this rare Universal form of Shri Krishna. Therefore he should be grateful and hold this form of Shri Krishna with devotion
