इहैकस्थं जगत्कृत्स्नं पश्याद्य सचराचरम् ।
मम देहे गुडाकेश यच्चान्यद्द्रष्टमिच्छसि ॥7॥
न तु मां शक्यसे द्रष्टमनेनैव स्वचक्षुषा ।
दिव्यं ददामि ते चक्षुः पश्य मे योगमैश्वरम् ॥8॥
Transliteration
ihaikasthaṃ jagat kṛtsnaṃ paśyādya sacarācaram |
mama dehe guḍākeśa yac cānyad draṣṭum icchasi || 7 ||
na tu māṃ śakyase draṣṭum anenaiva sva-cakṣuṣā |
divyaṃ dadāmi te cakṣuḥ paśya me yogam aiśvaram || 8 ||
Translation
Behold here, O Arjuna (Conqueror-of-sleep), the whole universe with its mobile and immobile things centered in My body and whatever else you desire to see.(7)But you will not be able to see Me with your physical eye. I (therefore) give you grant you divine sight — behold My Sovereign Glory!(8)
Purport
Bhagwan further explained to Arjuna, that he(Arjuna) can see the entire universe centered at one place in his Vishvarupa. But then it's not possible for Arjuna to see cosmic form(vishvrupa) by physical eyes. Therefore Shri Krishna provides Arjuna the divine sight.
From this divine vision or the capacity to see things beyond physical limits, Arjuna then witnessed the real, universal form of Bhagwan Shri Krishna.
