Translation

O Son of Partha! In these three worlds, there is nothing for me to do. Yet, I engage myself in action and always do actions that are to be done. In case definitely, if I do not engage myself in work without being lazy and sleeplessness, O Partha! Certainly all men would follow my path. If I stop doing my duties, people following me and believing me as their ideal will change their attitude. Society will perish and I will mix up truth and false, create confusion and in the end cause their destruction.

Purport

In earlier Shloka, Bhavan Shri Krishna reminded Arjuna that society considers the acts of great people, leaders as correct and follow.
In these Shlokas, Bhagvan Shri Krishna further explains the same point by giving his own example. Bhagvan says, He (Shri Krishna) is the creator of the whole universe and everything is available at his disposal. There is nothing for him to do, yet he appears among humans and performs his duties which justifies his physical existence. If he stops performing his duties, following him(Shri Krishna) others will start doing the same and stop working.

That would be a disaster for society.

This Shloka also presents very straight teaching that leadership shapes the course of society. Good leaders bring prosperity and bad the miseries
