Wisdom is obscured by this constant enemy of the wise, O Arjuna, in the form of lust,which is as insatiable as fire.
Purport
In this Shloka, Bhagvan Shri Krishna further explains the implications of lust. Lust is dangerous not only for normal people but even to wise. Lust creates obstacles in the efforts of enlightenment. Any wise person who is practicing hard to earn knowledge should hence keep away from all such an environment which may cause lust, lest his efforts of attaining knowledge may be wasted.
Perhaps this is one of the reasons for what many sages and Rishis used to live in Ashrams than among other people.
