Purport

This is one of the very important Shlokas for the subject of worship. It has been found that many people develop confusion for different methods of worship. There is also a considerable amount of confusion for worshipping different deities.

Bhagvan Shri Krisna gives a very clear declaration in this shloka that no matter what worship method a devotee is following, his worship would be heard if he is true to his heart. In Shrimad Bhagvad Gita itself, Bhagvan has further explained that prayers offered to other deities, in fact, reach to him(9.23).

All paths of true worship lead to Bhagvan Shri Krishna. This fact has been very nicely explained by Adi Shankaracharaya in the following manner:

आकाशात् पतितं तोयं यथा गच्छति सागरम् |
सर्वदेवनमस्कार: केशवं प्रति गच्छति ||

Just as the rainwater that falls on the earth travels through various rivers and ultimately reaches the sea - In the same way offerings ('Namaskaras') offered to various Gods ultimately reaches Keshava(Lord Krishna) the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

“Shri Hari Om Tat Sat”
सर्वदेवनमस्कार: केशवं प्रति गच्छति ||

Just as the rainwater that falls on the earth travels through various rivers and ultimately reaches the sea - In the same way offerings ('Namaskaras') offered to various Gods ultimately reaches Keshava(Lord Krishna) the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
