Purport

Ch4: Sh25 till Sh34 explains the different types of Yajna.
The above Shlokas describes three types of Yajna, which are as follows:

1. Deva Yajna:
Worshipping deity making appropriate offerings to them is called as Deva Yajna. Deities are our immediate guardians and nurture us for physical needs. Those who desire worldly success, happiness and prosperity, etc worship deities.

2. Bramh Yajna:
This is the highest level of Yajna. When a devotee of Lord merges his complete self into Bhagvan Shri Krishna through devotion or practice of Yoga, this is called as Brmha Yajna. Such yogis who perform Brmah Yajna achieve the highest abode, the Moksha. Devotion, complete surrender to Lord comes under this category of Yajna

3. Tpa Yajna or Tapasya
When a yogi attains complete control on his senses to hear, view, taste and speak is called Tapa Yajna. All forms of self-control come under this category. Those who perform Tap Yajna achieve highest spiritual power in the present physical body itself and able to attains purity.

Those who are interested in self-realization, in terms of mind and sense control, offer the functions of all the senses, as well as the vital force [breath], as oblations into the fire of the controlled mind.
There are others who, enlightened by sacrificing their material possessions in severe austerities, take strict vows and practice the yoga of eightfold mysticism, and others study the Vedas for the advancement of transcendental knowledge.
