Since there people of different orientations and so there are different types of Yajnas(Sacrifice). A person who has strong orientation towards knowing facts, certainly finds Janana yajnas. Some others who are inclined towards renunciation choose Tapas and self-control. Some others who are inclined towards Yoga chooses the path of Ashtang Yoga and meditation.
