Translation

One who having acquired the state of equanimity seeks to abide in Brahman, one whose mind is steadfastly fixed on That (ātman), undeluded — neither rejoices at gaining what is pleasant, nor grieves on obtaining what is unpleasant.

Purport

In earlier two Shlokas Bhagwan Shri Krishna explained the state of enlightenment where a human realizes the true nature of equanimity of all souls. That state described as the pure as Bramhan itself.

In this Shloka Bhagwan further explains the glory of that state. One who reaches that state experiences the ultimate joy, peace, and tranquillity. For him, the worldly enjoyment appears minor and small in comparison. Then such a person is not bewildered by the high and low of this physical world. He does not get over excited in success nor does he get depressed in state of failure. Such a man enjoys peace in all such variations of human life.
