Translation

A person in the divine consciousness, although engaged in seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, eating, moving about, sleeping, and breathing, always knows within himself that he actually does nothing at all. Because while speaking, evacuating, receiving, opening or closing his eyes, he always knows that only the material senses are engaged with their objects and that he is aloof from them.

Purport

In these two shlokas, Bhagvan Shri Krishna explains how a Karma Yogi while engaging in all activities remains detached? One who thinks that he leaves the activity and will attain Sanyas might be entirely wrong. As Bhagvan Shri Krishna has explained in Chapter 3:Sh4

Ch3:Sh4
na karmanam anarambhan naiskarmyam puruso 'snute
na ca sannyasanad eva siddhim samadhigacchati

Not by merely abstaining from work can one achieve freedom from reaction, nor by renunciation alone can one attain perfection.

Simply leaving activities is no guarantee of Sanyas. The opposite is also true, that merely by involving in activities one is not got bounded to the activates. A Karmyogi by doing all activities can remain free from all bounds, which means a Karma yogi can attain Sanyas by doing all activities. A human who knows the truth that he is really is a soul and not a physical body. This physical body is part of the physical world and all activities done under the rule of the material world. Such a person while doing all work remains free from all bounds. He attains Sanyas even while doing all activities.
