Translation
By virtue of the divine consciousness of his previous life, he automatically becomes attracted to the yogic principles-even without seeking them. Such an inquisitive transcendentalist, striving for yoga, stands always above the ritualistic principles of the scriptures. But the Yogi striving earnestly, purified of all negative karma, and perfected gradually through many births, reaches the supreme goal.
Purport
Continuing from earlier Shloka Bhagvan Shri Krishna assures in that a true devotee is always saved. Even if he could not practice yoga in an earlier life but since he had pure devotion he would have a great vision of yoga and understanding of spirituality in the next life. His further progression on the path of enlightenment would become easier and smoother.
