Translation

O scion of Bharata [Arjuna], O conquerer of the foe, all living beings are subject to delusion arising out of dualities of desire and aversion by birth.

Purport

Earlier Bhagvan Shri Krishna explained why it is difficult for a human being to witness God? Human or other living beings are constrained due to Maya and spend the whole life in a delusion taking physical things around and experience my senses as absolute.

But to be deluded is not entirely a fault of human being, as such delusion is born out of material existence and since the physical body is a physical entity, human being posses this delusion by birth. What is required for a human is to know this fact and do extra efforts to break this delusion? Shrimad Bhagvad Gita suggests many methods following which a human can come out of this delusion. Devotion to God is one of the best method s which is described earlier and also in the next Shlokas of this chapter.
