Transliteration
patraṃ puṣpaṃ phalaṃ toyaṃ yo me bhaktyā prayacchati |
tad-ahaṃ bhakty-upahṛtam-aśnāmi prayatātmanaḥ || 26 ||
Translation
Whoever offers to Me with devotion a leaf, a flower, a fruit or some water, I accept this offering made with devotion by one who is pure of heart.
Purport
One of the sweetest Shlokas in Shrimad Bhagvad Gita and a delight for the devotees. At many times people feel guilty when they do not know scriptures or mantras. Some others assume he must follow all tedious procedures to worship God
In fact, nothing is required if a devotee is pure of his heart and truly devoted to Shri Krishna. In this Shloka Bhagvan assured that he accepts even a leaf, a petal of a flower or even a drop of water if offered by a devotee to him with a pure heart.
Devotion to Shri Krishna hence is almost free.
It is good to read scriptures, to know the glory and Leela of Shri Krishna, don't worry if you can't do that for some reason. Please bring pure devotion to Shri Krishna and he will accept your devotion.
