You are the father of this universe, of all mobile and stationary entities. You are its teacher and the one most worthy of reverence. There is none equal to You. How then could there be another greater than You in the three realms, O Being of unsurpassed glory?
Therefore, bowing down, prostrating myself, I beg Your pardon, O adorable Lord. As a father forebears with his son or a friend with his friend, it is proper, O Lord, that You, who are dear to me, should bear with me who am dear to You.
Alternate Translation
Therefore, bowing down and prostrating before You, O Adorable One, I seek your grace. Like a father to the son, friend to the friend, as lover to his beloved, you should bear with me.
